Accounting Assistant

Join our team!! Locher Evers International, industry leading and highly regarded freight forwarder, is growing rapidly! LEI has an entry level opening in our Corporate Office on Annacis Island (Delta) for a full time Accounting Assistant.

We are seeking a new team member that enjoys a fast-paced environment and is reliable, hardworking, that also has great professional phone etiquette along with organizational skills. Your transportation industry experience is combined with a strong attention to detail make you excellent at what you do.

Job Description: 
  • Process customer payments, in form of cheques, eTransfers, credit cards, etc.
  • Posting payable invoices
  • Keep agent accounts up-to-date and follow up exception items
  • Prepare payment or send payment requests to agents
  • Other duties/projects as assigned from time to time
Requirements: 
  • High school graduate
  • Completed basic accounting courses
  • Fluent in English
  • Excel skill to manipulate data with formulas, sorting and vlookup etc.
