Ocean Import Operations Coordinator

Overview: 

Join our team!! Locher Evers International, industry leading and highly regarded freight forwarder, is growing rapidly! LEI is looking for an Ocean Import Operations Coordinator at our Brampton (ON) office.

Job Description: 

· Closely monitor & follow up on shipments

· Update shipment status, issue arrival notices

· Handling ocean import/ provide customs broker with documentation

· Verification of OBL & payment requirements prior to shipment release; chasing documents when required

· Tracking and reporting of extra costs such as demurrage, detention, exam fees, etc.

· Communicate and respond promptly to all incoming freight inquiries in order to properly manage and control daily operations

· Coordinating deconsolidation of Imports

. Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

· Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain or Logistics

· Highly organized & detail oriented

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite

· Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

· Eager to learn and team player

· Knowledge of import procedures & international customs regulations
